Nell bought raw social intelligence, the 3Jane research team enhanced it into scored products, and those products went on sale - every transaction on both sides traced to one governance chain. Not a demo. A running business.
Buying was the easy part. An agent ran the whole loop - procured inputs on request, enhanced them, and sold the outputs - with the same chain governing both sides of the ledger.
Episode 1 answered "can an agent buy?" This one answered "can an agent run a business?" The 3Jane team identified twit.sh - a real-time X/Twitter data service selling through x402 micropayments - as its supplier, and sent Nell a structured procurement plan. No sales call, no contract, no API key to provision. Just an HTTP endpoint that returns data when it's paid.
Nell procured the raw data, delivered it to 3Jane to be scored and sourced, and the finished products went on sale over the same rail she'd bought with. When another agent paid, Nell collected. Every purchase and every sale was governed by the same identity chain and logged with full provenance - transaction, passport serial, merchant, amount, direction.
The business ran on pennies. Five weekly publications, one vendor, a procurement budget of under fifty cents a week.
Buy inputs. Enhance them. Sell the outputs. Every dollar traceable. This ran in production. March 22, 2026. Both sides on the same chain.
